Daylight is a good thing – no matter whether at your desk, your work bench, or in the privacy of your own home. A person's productivity and well-being in their work and home environment depends to a great extent on the amount of natural daylight they are exposed to every day. Channelling daylight into inside rooms is thus more than just a trend in modern architecture; it is a must – and something that LAMILUX started to do over 50 years ago.
On top of this, all LAMILUX daylight systems can act as smoke and heat ventilation systems (SHEVs) besides giving you daylight. SHEVs are a critical safety factor, especially in industrial and commercial buildings where fire protection measures are a legal requirement. The fulfil a life-saving function: If a fire breaks out inside a building a SHEV system helps to ventilate toxic smoke gas by opening the flaps built into the daylight system.
