CI system continuous rooflight B

Robust and safe with best-of-breed statics

The CI System continuous rooflight B sets a new standard with respect to roof protection and safety in combination with excellent daylight incidence qualities. Focus on: excellent stability despite stress from wind and weather, and best possible fire protection characteristics. The CI System continuous rooflight B is modular and helps you gear your structures individually for snow and wind load – even for larger spreads. Innovative technologies developed by LAMILUX enhance the safety of the CI System continuous rooflight B in case of fire, and prevent flames for spreading in compliance with DIN 18234 for certified roofs.

Our technology – your benefit:

  • Saves energy: no heat bridges thanks to optimized isothermal characteristics.
Our technology: the isothermal load converter (ITL)
  • Benefit from excellent fire protection - DIN 18234 compliance at a low cost.
Our technology: linear burn through protection (LDS)
  • State of art technology you can rely on and best-of-breed static safety.
Our technology: the active expansion absorber (ADA) and dynamic torque control (DMR)

Technology and innovation

DIN 18234 compliant fire safety - linear burn through protection (LDS)
LDS achieves the goal defined by DIN 18234 – to prevent fire spreading from the opening to the roof – across the board. No additional measures - such as time-consuming gravel ballast in the vicinity of the continuous rooflight - required.
Stability thanks to intelligent components - the active torque absorber (ADA)
The ADA compensates different expansion values between tensioning belts and seals in the continuous rooflight. This prevents seals from slipping out even when the rooflight construction is subjected to heavy load. This in turn means best-of-breed protection in case of snow, ice, wind or heat.
Safety thanks to new technologies – dynamic torque control (DMR)
DMR means improved anchoring of the glazing by means of polycarbonate plates in the ventilation and smoke and heat ventilation system and heat extraction flaps. Perfect absorption and cushioning of loads. That means: more protection against storms and heavy snow.
Free of heat bridges thanks to innovative technology – the isothermal load converter (ITL)
Deploying ITL at the base of the construction in combination with heat bridge-free lid sections and optimized transoms gives CI System continuous rooflight B excellent heat insulation properties. ITL channels the load on the continuous rooflight into the supporting structure. This keeps the base profile free of loads and torsion, thus enabling the use of materials with excellent heat insulation properties.

Longevity thanks to new materials – glass fibre-reinforced plastic glazing

New glazing made of polyester shell elements is highly resistant to UV incidence and weathering due to its special material characteristics.
This continuous rooflight was specially designed for use in areas in which aggressive materials are released, such as evaporating cooling lubricants in metal working. The material provides long-term resilience against damage by aggressive materials.

Safety in case of fire – the CI System smoke lift B

If needed, you can equip CI System continuous rooflight B with smoke and heat ventilation devices that fulfil the requirements of EN 12101-2. Natural smoke and heat ventilation (SHEV) devices are integrated as double or single flaps, which are actuated by automatic thermal triggering, thermal CO2 remote actuation, or electrical remote actuation independently of the mains power supply. SHEV devices can be actuated for ventilation (electrically/pneumatically) and for fair weather ventilation (pneumatically).

LAMILUX steel upstands

  • Galvanized quality steel sheeting, no need for additional coating
  • Dimensioning in line with DASt directive 016 – static safety and economy
  • Upstand height depending on roof structure
  • Self-supporting from bonder to bonder or laid on stringers throughout

Optional extras – more than just standard

Hard DIN 4102-7 compliant roofing and complies with DIN 18230 rules for fire resistance time CI System continuous rooflight B
Glazing can fulfil the conditions for "rigid roofing" and "fire resistance time" at the same time – or comply with these two characteristics separately. It thus fulfils the DIN 4102-7 requirements for flying sparks and radiated heat – as confirmed by MFPA Leipzig GmbH (Approval no. PZ III/B-05-028)

Solar protection with deciduous tree effect and permanent, certified fall-through safety
Metal screen in any RAL coating you require with deciduous tree effect for natural shade. Deciduous tree effect screens fulfil GS Building 18 standards for permanent fall-through safety. In addition to this, the stamped steel sheet provides protection against hail and incidental UV light.

Powerful ventilators on fronts:
Powerful fans can be fitted to the front of the continuous rooflight for additional ventilation and air extraction.

Personal protective equipment (PSA)
Lanyard rings for the protection of persons on the roof fulfil DIN EN 795 Class A1 requirements and are BG approved – certified by Safety Technology Center of the  Berufsgenossenschaft (employers' liability insurance association) Rhineland and Westphalia. The eyes are designed to bear the weight of two persons.

Upstands and aluminum profiles in RAL colors
LAMILUX steel upstands and all visible aluminium profiles can be custom coated in RAL colours on request.
