LAMILUX upstands are technically advanced. This development standard pays dividends for roof builders and customers. For one thing, they comply with DIN 18234 when fitted to your roof, without any additional measures – and this saves roof builders time and money. For another, they have excellent heat insulation properties as an economical building element.
LAMILUX upstands in 15, 30, 40 and 50 centimetre sizes are suitable for rooflight domes and for use with our CI System glass architecture F products.
Hard PVC connecting rail:
Upstand with hard PVC connecting rail laminated onto base flange in factory, corners sealed. High polymer roofing rolls of PVC, PEC and VAE can be connected directly to the upstand by expanding air or hot air welding.
Foil connection:
Upstand with factory fitted foil connection. The foil is fitted to the upstand in line with manufacturer's instructions. In addition to this, the foil is mechanically fixed with a special aluminium rail. The upper join is additionally sealed with PU adhesive for weather resistance. The foil overhang is dimensioned to allow for an easy join with the roof foil.
Various adhesive flange thicknesses:
Upstands are available with a variety of adhesive flange thicknesses to match any roof superstructure – including inclined custom variants – and with moulded corrugated profile 5 (corrugation 177/51).
Heightening elements:
Heightening elements can be fitted on top of existing upstands. This is necessary if you need to insulation a flat roof during renovation work. The existing upstand "disappears" and the required minimum height as of the water bearing layer (in line with roof building directives) is no longer available.
Steel upstands are 40 cm high and can optionally include heat insulation. The interior of the upstand is colour coated RAL 9002 (grey white). A special polyester frame avoids heat bridges and guarantees a good mechanical join for all roof elements.
We supply aluminium upstands to match your building and steel system. Both a fluted base flanges and smooth base flanges with heat insulation in the base flange area are possible (inner and outer shell joined and sealed by welding).
* A roof sealing joint has to be performed in line with current roof building directives, e.g. flat roof directive.
