Charities

Our company is founded on economic sense. And this is what we focus our energies on. However, as a responsible, medium-sized company Heinrich Strunz GmbH understands that its obligations go beyond business activities to include social obligations. This is why we support projects, initiatives and institutions in social and cultural fields.

Our support goes beyond highly publicized, short-term sponsorship. On the contrary, our concerns are sustainability and adding value for society.
  • The entrepreneurial initiative "HochFranken – hier geht was!" (Upper Franconia – going places!) focuses on regional marketing. As a member of this organization we support cultural activities such as the International Movie Festival in Hof, the most significant film festival and platform for the German cinema after the Berlin Movie Festival, with the aim of securing the festival's long-term existence.
  • We support and work closely with "HAW – Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften" (University for Applied Sciences) in Hof. We understand this as fulfilling our obligation to give the younger generations an excellent education on a par with international standards.
  • We promote and monitor the activities and projects of the Betriebswirtschaftlichen Forschungszentrums für Fragen der mittelständischen Wirtschaft e.V. (BF/M – Center for Economic Research Concerning Medium-Sized Businesses) at the University of Bayreuth. Our CEO Dr. Heinrich Strunz is a member of the board of trustees which comprises 14 representatives from regional enterprises. BF/M Bayreuth aims to open up economic research and transfer potential to medium-sized companies. The institute researches, develops and implements efficient management methods and tools.
  • We also support a drugs abuse prevention campaign ("Was such(S)t Du!") that addresses school children and youths.
  • We have also donated an annual fixed sum to a children's home in Badacin, Romania since the early 90s. The children's home, and the children and youths who live there, were in a desolate state after political instability and the end of the communist regime in Romania. Thanks to evangelic church congregation in Rehau, humane conditions now exist, and the children can now grow up in a restored children's home with trained care and tutoring staff.
  • Charity at our Rehau headquarters: We donated a sum of money to help establish a children's playground in the "Siedlung" district.
