Research and Development for Highest Efficiency

LAMILUXplan lives – in all phases of its development and production cycle the composite material made of glass fibre reinforced polyester is intensively supervised by the research and development department. The product characteristics are generated and formed by the R&D department, which require the highest practical and application-orientated values.

Product Idea: New Development and Optimisation

We develop and test new formulations, verifying new raw materials and complete pre production products in our laboratory or directly on our production lines. This method of producing samples is effective: our customers can get a picture of the material and finishing characteristics, which finally will allow them to make balanced and positive judgements and decisions quickly.

Systematic checks and analysis, fixed structured workflow, complete the testing process. At the same time we are also testing the fibre reinforced composites under real conditions as they will be in service.

Production: Permanent Verification of the Continuous Processing

All raw materials, delivered from our partners, such as resins undergo a strict incoming goods inspection. Also from the utilised glass fibre mats and additives continuous quality tests are made. During the production process of the composite we constantly control the process, and if necessary an immediate correction is possible.

Final Product: Intensive Quality Control

At the end of the production process we verify the mechanical as well as the general optical and physical properties, like for example colour, gloss level, glass content and grammage.

We check the thermal and chemical resistance, fire behaviour as well as weathering resistance. Furthermore our customers also indicate their specific inspection demands.

Our first priority is to examine all the determined data at any inspection flow. Valuation, analysis and summary: all the material data gained from the process and final inspection are saved directly after verification in data bases and evaluated according to the relevant specified criteria.

Cooperation and Network: Measurements and Tests in External Laboratories and Institutes

Our production site in Rehau is located near to several universities of applied sciences and technical schools, which allows LAMILUX to cooperate closely with these institutions. With modern laboratories, which meet our demands, a large variety of methods of testing and analytic processes are available to us. Beyond our local network we have an effective and powerful network of institutions and test facilities to satisfy any additional requirements. This makes it possible to perform quick and scientifically based country specific tests individually for our customers.
