Glazing variants

The glazing range for our rooflight dome system takes into account each aspect individually:

  • Daylight incidence – transparency and light diffusion 
  • Energy efficiency / thermal insulation
  • Solar protection / heat protection
  • Acoustic insulation 
  • Self-cleaning
  • Safety – fall protection system and anti-burglary protection

Glazing materials

  • Plastic
  • Glass fiber reinforced composite (hard roofing – according to DIN 4102-7 resistant to flying sparks and radiant heat)
  • Particularly impact-resistant composite

Alternatively:

  • Rooflight dome as dark flap / GRP sandwich panel (heat-insulated, impervious to light) 
  • Solar protection glazing (e.g. Heatstop)

Double skin

  • Ut-value: approx. 2.7 W/(m²K)
  • Sound-proofing value: approx. 24 dB 
  • Permeability to light: approx. 70 %

Triple skin

  • Ut-value: approx. 1.8 W/(m²K) 
  • Sound-proofing value: approx. 24 dB
  • Permeability to light: approx. 59 %

Quadruple skin

  • Ut-value: approx. 1.5 W/(m²K)
  • Sound-proofing value: approx. 24 dB 
  • Permeability to light: approx. 63 %

Double skin + PC 16

  • Ut-value: approx. 1.3 W/(m²K)
  • Sound-proofing value: approx. 24 dB
  • Permeability to light: approx. 39 %

Multi-chamber glazing PC 10

  • Ut-value: approx. 2,5 W/(m²K)
  • Sound-proofing value: approx. 17 dB
  • Permeability to light: approx. 61%

Multi-chamber glazing PC 10 + PC 6

  • Ut-value: approx. 1,4 W/(m²K)
  • Sound-proofing value: approx. 17 dB
  • Permeability to light: approx. 50%

 

 

Special upstands – the perfect mount on foil or profiled sheeting roofs

Improve light transmission: LAMILUX reflective

  • The light transmission of the daylight element is increased by up to 50% thanks to the patented principle of cladding with hihgly reflective aluminium material
  • Up to 33% savings in energy used for artificial light
  • Elegant surface finish gives high-quality interior appearance

LAMILUX steel sheet upstand

  • A special mounting technology profile made of a thermal bridge-free composite avoids thermal bridges – unlike metal head profile frames
  • Professional, mechanical connection to different types of roof sheeting
  • Optionally available with or without thermal insulation 
  • Height: 30, 40, or 50 cm 
  • Color coating (RAL 9002, gray white) possible
  • Sheet steel of upstand: Fire class A1

LAMILUX upstand, aluminum

  • For profiled and flat roofs
  • Property-specific production 
  • Individually adapted to the profiling of the base flange 
  • Core-insulated upstand also available with flat base flange 
  • Only suitable for buildings without thermo-technical requirements 
  • Base flange optionally flat or profiled (optionally with thermal insulation on underside, see figure)

Upstand mounting details

Hard PVC connecting rail

The hard PVC connecting rail is optionally laminated onto the base flange in the factory and seal-welded in the corners. High polymer PVC and VAE roof sheeting can be welded directly onto the base flange using an expanding air or hot air welding process. Figure with heat-insulated base flange.

Foil attachment

The upstand features a foil connection which is affixed in the factory. The foil is pulled up at the upstand and fitted as a circumferential sealing element in line with the manufacturer's instructions. The foil is also fastened mechanically with a special aluminum section. The upper join on the upstand is also sealed with PU adhesive for weather resistance.
