Décor GRP for vehicle interiors

Caravan, bus and mobile retail truck interiors need to be many things: hard-wearing, resistant and decorative. The fibrereinforced composite LAMILUX LAMIGraph has all of these properties and is popular among processors due to its other product advantages.

If we compare LAMILUX LAMIGraph with wood-based materials, the fibre-reinforced composite can be significantly thinner in its design while offering the same strength. This saves weight in the finished sandwich panel and, consequently, in the vehicle too.

Seal stays air-tight

A key, positive product feature is its high-grade glaze. Moisture scarcely penetrates LAMILUX LAMIGraph, unlike decorative plywood products. In the recreational vehicle sector, for instance, the pressboard used for interior panelling up to now absorbs water very quickly whereas LAMILUX LAMIGraph is able to withstand regular exposure. This prevents mould from forming and also helps the caravan to retain its value for the long term.

Face sheets and décor in one

LAMILUX LAMIGraph is a typical 2-in-1 material from the plastics specialist. Developer Dr Julia Ewert explains what exactly this means for customers: “GRP face sheeting and décor paper are firmly attached to one another in our flat sheet production. This saves the customer a step in their manufacturing processes and, consequently, labour costs and additional outlay for adhesive.

Customised in design and application

The scope for clients' ideas is endless when it comes to design. Available for repeat orders at any time, the range includes a variety of colours, tailor-made designs and wood effects from acorn through to elm.

Customers themselves can design their own motifs too. There are also a number of décors which customers can receive exclusively in combination with LAMILUX LAMIGraph.

Potential uses for LAMILUX LAMIGraph are equally as varied as its design: interiors for buses, motor homes, caravans, mobile retail trucks, beach houses and container housing and offices. It can also be used in interior design as well as for creative design for temporary structures in exhibition stand construction.

Production process guarantees consistent quality

LAMILUX fibre-reinforced composites feature consistent high quality due to their automated, continuous production process, which can be replicated at any time. LAMILUX LAMIGraph can be supplied as panels or in rolls containing up to 180 metres.
