From 20.09.2018 - 27.09.2018 the world's leading exhibition for mobility, transport and logistics, the 67th IAA Commercial Vehicles open its doors at Hannover, Germany.
LAMILUX Composites GmbH welcomes you in hall 27, booth D06 and presents on a 105 square meters booth their portfolio of high-quality LAMILUX materials for the commercial vehicle, last-mile and bus construction. Find an overview of our product qualities for the commercial vehicle or bus industry here.
As a family-managed company, we manufacture more than 20 million square metres of composite plastics every year. We approve only the best raw materials from our solid international network of reliable suppliers for our production. We get the maximum out of raw materials with the aid of production processes optimised down to the last detail. We know exactly what is important and we carry out thorough checks in our in-house laboratory to ensure that this is the case.
Our decades of experience are also reflected in our six completely separate automated flat sheet production lines. Here, we manufacture our materials in a continuous process, so that qualities and material thicknesses can be reproduced without any fluctuations at all times. This provides our customers with maximum supply reliability and, above all, short delivery periods.
This enables us to maintain the largest portfolio of composites on the market for an extensive variety of industries: caravans, commercial vehicles, buses, hygiene, sport and construction This extensive expertise was largely acquired thanks to our product development: our experienced technicians check each material for specific applications.
This also brings satisfaction for our customers, which is expressed in our large client base with some business relationships having lasted decades. For example, we have advised and supplied W M Meyer, the trailer and truck body manufacturer, since 1989 and commercial vehicle specialists MAN and Schmitz Cargobull for many years.
This is undoubtedly also because we do not rest on our past achievements. Quite the opposite: more than twenty engineers are in pursuit of the latest trends at all times. In doing so, we identify current tendencies such as green production, electro-mobility, super-light delivery vehicles and zero acoustic and pollutant emissions. These are the paths we have specifically chosen to follow in our product and process developments. We are also working together with scientists on solutions for the future in strategic cooperative partnerships with universities and institutions.
We do not develop our products based in the laboratory, but through specific applications. This is because it is our aim to deliver the right product for each installation location. We manage to do this by producing the best fibre-to-plastic ratio on the market: our LAMILUX X-treme contains more than 50 volume percent. It thus defines the current status of the technically feasible and is the most productive composite plastic in the industry.
This comprehensive approach also formulates the principle that our products should unite as many functions as possible. The aim is to provide two functions in one product or three in one or even four in one to save our customers costs and work while combining them with valuable added benefits. We thus unite features such as glossy appearance with extreme toughness combined with lightweight construction potential and with an anti-bacterial effect. Anti Bac provides clients with additional hygienic safety, minimising risks as a result.
We can thus affirm the best possible performance in our products in comparison to standard composites: profitable weight saving, optimum safety and stability, low downtimes, reduced repair times and costs, lasting, distinct visual appearance and highly stable value.
Multi-functionality and design are not mutually exclusive. Even the most useful product cannot be installed without an appropriate visual appearance where it is visible. We also aim for our products to make vehicles a little more beautiful, also from a long-term perspective. Thanks to multi-functionality and stylish surfaces, these design-oriented materials not only make work easier for our customers, but also add visual value.
Four of our design products do just that, uniting appealing design with numerous added benefits:
LAMILUX Tech Talk takes a look at different topics related to our composites. Interviewer Markus Bächer (LAMILUX Composites Marketing) grills his guest with questions about products, events and technical problems.
