Building the Future Naturally – with LAMILUX
From energy-efficient new builds to the refurbishment of existing properties: At BAU 2027, LAMILUX is presenting a broad portfolio of daylight, ventilation, and smoke extraction solutions for a wide variety of building types in Hall C3, Stand 302. Under the motto “Building the Future Naturally”, the company will demonstrate on its 234-square-metres exhibition stand in Munich from 11 to 15 January 2027, how buildings can be designed safely and for long-term value using natural daylight and fresh air.
How do buildings need to be planned, constructed and developed to meet the demands of tomorrow? LAMILUX will provide answers to this question at BAU 2027 in Hall C3, Stand 302.
Together with its subsidiary roda, the skylight specialist will present solutions for almost all areas of modern construction, ranging from private homes and residential developments to office, educational and administrative buildings, as well as large industrial and logistics facilities.
The exhibition presence is centred around the motto “Building the Future Naturally. Natural daylight. Natural ventilation. Naturally LAMILUX.” It reflects a holistic approach: for LAMILUX, future-proof construction does not start with a single product but rather with the intelligent interaction of the building envelope, daylight utilisation, natural ventilation, thermal insulation, energy efficiency and safety. The focus extends equally to innovative new-build projects and the modernisation of existing buildings.
Building the future also means developing existing structures
A key focus of the exhibition presence is refurbishment. After all, future-proof buildings are not only created through new builds. Enhancing existing buildings in terms of energy efficiency, functionality and design will be a key task for planners and contractors in the years ahead.
At BAU, LAMILUX will demonstrate how outdated rooflights and glass roofs can be replaced with modern skylights or adapted to meet new requirements. From the initial survey through to planning and implementation, the family-owned company provides holistic support for refurbishment projects.
In this way, existing buildings can continue to be used and upgraded for energy efficiency, while simultaneously benefiting from more daylight, fresh air, and enhanced safety. This applies just as much to residential and administrative buildings as it does to production facilities and logistics properties.
A portfolio for every requirement
LAMILUX brings its diverse range of solutions to life directly at the exhibition stand, showcasing a large portion of its product portfolio. The exhibits include the LAMILUX Glass Roof PR60, which enables the realisation of bespoke glass roof constructions and sophisticated architectural geometries. The system combines generous daylight areas with versatile options for integrating ventilation, photovoltaics as well as smoke and heat extraction elements.
The LAMILUX Modular Glass Roof MS78 will also be on display at the stand. Prefabricated modules, combinable sizes, and flexibly integrated ventilation elements facilitate the efficient planning and implementation of large-scale glazing. The high degree of prefabrication supports short and reliably predictable construction schedules, whilst the modular system simultaneously offers design flexibility.
For residential, educational, and administrative buildings, LAMILUX is showcasing its comprehensive portfolio of Glass Skylights in a variety of shapes, materials, and designs. The systems introduce daylight and, depending on the variant, natural ventilation into interior spaces, combining energy performance with a clear architectural design. Visitors can also look forward to the unveiling of a new product in this segment.
The LAMILUX Flat Roof Access Hatch Comfort Swing complements the range. The large-scale glass element combines interior illumination with convenient access to the roof area and is particularly suitable for premium roof terraces as well as residential and commercial buildings.
For larger roof areas on commercial, production and industrial buildings, LAMILUX is additionally highlighting the Rooflight F100 W as well as the Continuous Rooflight B. The exhibited portfolio ranges from individual daylight openings through to large-scale solutions for industrial hall roofs. Rooflight domes and continuous rooflights facilitate a uniform supply of natural light to large interior spaces and, depending on the version, can also take on additional functions for ventilation as well as smoke and heat extraction.
A comprehensive approach to daylight and fresh air
Together with its subsidiary roda, LAMILUX is expanding the focus to include natural ventilation and smoke extraction solutions for buildings. The AEROJET louvred ventilator, the AIRSTREAM louvred window, as well as the FIREFIGHTER and MEGAPHÖNIX double-flap ventilators will be displayed at the exhibition stand.
In doing so, the corporate group is demonstrating how daylight, natural ventilation and smoke extraction can be planned in tandem. The spectrum ranges from daily air exchange and a pleasant indoor climate through weather-protected ventilation to solutions for smoke and heat extraction. This allows the diverse requirements of a wide variety of buildings and industrial sectors to be met according to specific needs.
This interplay plays a vital role, particularly in sustainable building operations. High-performance glazing, thermally insulated constructions and airtight connections form an important foundation for an energy-efficient building envelope.
Solutions for the demands of tomorrow
With “Building the Future Naturally”, LAMILUX combines several dimensions of future-proof construction: the continued use and energy-efficient upgrading of the existing building stock, alignment with current technical standards, the development of innovative systems, and building operations that purposefully utilise daylight and natural ventilation.
The broad portfolio offers solutions for a wide range of applications and project scales. From individual flat roof windows in residential properties, through convenient roof access hatches and modular glass roofs, to large-scale continuous rooflights or ventilation and smoke extraction solutions for industrial halls, planners, architects, contractors and building owners will gain a comprehensive insight into the possibilities of modern daylight and ventilation technology at the exhibition stand.
