TÜV Süd seal for LAMILUX Composites renewed
The independent certification service provider TÜV Süd has been certifying the application-specific laboratory tests at LAMILUX since 2014, appraising them on a regular basis. Thanks to this certification, LAMILUX ensures that its fibre-reinforced composites are optimally developed, tested and produced for individual customer needs. It was time for a TÜV Süd inspection once more at the end of the year. LAMILUX achieved top results in quality control and assurance yet again.
Cutting-edge technology, innovation and quality form the high standard that LAMILUX sets for itself and its products. The company produces large volumes of high tech composites on self-developed flat sheet production lines. To ensure quality in products, it continually performs extensive tests and inspections in its own laboratory to analyse and further develop fibre-reinforced composites on a permanent basis. These analyses include mechanical tests on properties such as tensile and flexural strength and chemical, climatic and application-specific tests. The Bavarian company undergoes voluntary TÜV Süd quality inspection on a regular basis to make certain it maintains its own self-imposed quality standard.

Tests passed successfully
Im Rahmen des detaillierten und umfangreichen Auditierungsprozesses hat TÜV Süd insgesamt 17 qualitätsrelevante Analyse-, Mess- und Prüfmethoden hinsichtlich der Qualitätssicherung erfolgreich bewertet. Die Verfahren stehen in ihrer Bedeutung für die Materialkontrolle ganz oben und sind zu einem großen Teil durch normierte Verfahren geregelt.
TÜV Süd successfully evaluated a total of seventeen quality-relevant analysis, measurement and test methods for quality assurance as part of the detailed, comprehensive auditing process. These methods are of key importance for material quality controls and are customarily strictly regulated by standardised procedures.
The quality and material tests appraised by TÜV Süd included the Charpy impact test (as per EN ISO 179, DIN 53435 and EN ISO 180), tensile and flexural strength tests (EN 527-4 and EN ISO 14125), weathering tests (Xenon-arc lamp and SUN test as per EN 4892-2), impact, temperature and attrition tests, delamination tests and DMA measurements.
