Sun protection
Natural daylight and solar heat can be used as valuable energy sources for buildings, helping to reduce both heating and artificial lighting costs. However, this energy must be carefully controlled. Adjustable shading systems make this possible. The external shading system for the LAMILUX Flat Roof Access Hatch Service FE is designed precisely for this purpose.
Opening Drives
The leaf is opened continuously and smoothly by electrically driven actuators positioned on each narrow side. The drives are controlled via a key switch with a dead man's function to ensure safe operation. Due to the maximum opening angle of approximately 80°, a projected opening width of about 799 mm is achieved. In normal operation, the Flat Roof Access Hatch is supplied with 230 V mains voltage, which also automatically charges the integrated batteries. In the event of a power failure, the system automatically switches to battery operation. The battery capacity is sufficient for approximately 20 opening cycles of the leaf.
Upstand
The thermally insulated upstand element forms the base of the construction and ensures an optimal thermal connection to the building structure. It is available in order sizes of 90 × 250 cm and 90 × 300 cm. The interior surface consists of coated sheet steel in RAL 9016 (traffic white), while the exterior is made of GRP in a colour similar to RAL 9016. The upstand element is inclined by 5°, supporting effective water drainage and self-cleaning of the surface. Its height is approximately 40.5 cm on the eaves side and around 48 cm on the opposite ridge side.
