Urban space for shopping and social interaction

With around 45,000 m² of retail space, CANO brings together numerous shops and dining options under one roof. As an urban meeting point, it combines shopping, leisure and social interaction, creating an inviting atmosphere through clear circulation routes, open zones and spacious areas for visitors. Different usage zones and a structured layout allow intuitive orientation and ensure smooth visitor flow even during peak times.

Daylight used with precision

The LAMILUX Glass Roof PR60 brings daylight into the central areas of the centre and plays a key role in shaping spatial perception and visitor guidance.

Bright walkways, clearly structured seating areas and open zones are emphasised by the incoming daylight. This creates uniform illumination that improves orientation while significantly enhancing the overall visitor experience.

Safety and technology as part of the overall concept

In addition to natural daylighting, the glass roofs are an integral part of the fire protection concept. As components of the smoke and heat exhaust ventilation system, they enable rapid smoke extraction in the event of a fire and keep escape and rescue routes visible and usable. Especially in large public buildings such as shopping centres, this function is essential to ensure visitor safety.

Openers, a smoke curtain, as well as integrated sensors and control systems complement the installation to form a coordinated overall solution.

Efficiency and durability in operation

In addition to its architectural qualities, the system meets high requirements in terms of energy efficiency, sound insulation and resistance to weather conditions. This contributes to the long-term reliability and cost-effective operation of the shopping centre.
