Schiebel Wiener Neustadt –
Daylight for innovative unmanned aerial systems technology

Expanding a high-tech facility

As part of the expansion of Schiebel’s operational headquarters in Wiener Neustadt, various LAMILUX skylight systems were installed throughout the building. Continuous Rooflights, Glass Skylights and Rooflights provide natural daylight and help create optimal conditions within both the assembly hall and office areas.

Technology centre for unmanned aerial systems

The Schiebel Group is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of unmanned aerial systems. At its Wiener Neustadt facility, the company develops and produces, among other products, the CAMCOPTER® S-100, which is deployed internationally in military, civil and humanitarian operations. Located directly adjacent to the airfield, the site combines development, production and flight testing in a single location, providing ideal conditions for advanced aerospace technology.

Daylight for development and production

The LAMILUX skylights provide the assembly hall and the adjoining office areas with natural daylight, creating bright working conditions. The uniform daylight distribution supports a pleasant working environment and contributes to wellbeing and concentration throughout the working day. Particularly in an environment where innovative technologies are developed and manufactured, optimal working conditions are an important factor.

Air exchange for a comfortable indoor climate

In addition to natural daylight, ventilation also plays an important role in the production and working areas. LAMILUX therefore worked closely with its subsidiary roda and supplied five MEGAPHOENIX multifunctional ventilators, which provide continuous air exchange and support the natural ventilation of the hall – even under changing weather conditions. The constant supply of fresh air creates a comfortable indoor climate and contributes to a high level of occupant comfort within the working areas.
